Who We Are

Founded in 1966

Νικόλαος Νίτσος - Νίτσος Διαγνωστική

Nitsos Microbiolological Laboratory was founded in 1966 by the medical microbiologist-biopathologist Eleni Nitsou-Konstantinou.

The laboratory operates to date under the supervision of Nikolaos Nitsos, graduate of the Semmelweis University of Medicine and specialized in Medical Biopathology at the General Hospital "Evangelismos" as well as in PCR Thrombophilia Testing and Assisted Reproduction.

Nikolaos Nitsos is also Head of GENESIS ATHENS Clinic Central Laboratories and Scientific Supervisor of GENESIS GENOMA Lab.

His scientific - research portfolio is outlined as follows:

  • 14 speeches - lectures in Greek Scientific Conferences and Scientific Days

  • Member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Reproductive Medicine

  • Instructor and Author of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens e-Learning program, entitled "Human Reproduction"

  • Participation in the GENESIS ATHENS Clinic Clinical Research Study "Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Intra Ovarian Infusion in Perimenopausal women and women with Chronic Endometritis"

  • Clinical Study for PhD Thesis at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on "The molecular testing with NGS of the endometrial microbiome in subfertile women with IVF procedure failure"

The medical laboratory has been recognized with the 5th award of the National External Quality Assessment Scheme and ensures the provision of quality healthcare through excellent organization and contemporary equipment.
